This tree was 3 foot in diameter and went from green to dead in just a few short weeks. It was in the middle of our driveway with our electric line on one side of the tree and our telephone and cable lines on the other. We contacted SCE. They came out, marked it and 2 days later the tree is gone. They removed the tree without even disconnecting the lines by dropping the tree 2 feet at a time down between the wires. The challenge was to get the top off which they did by tying it off and lowering it by hand.

In probably the most hyped and most watched swimming race in history, JASON LEZAK, the last swimmer in the Mens 4 X 100 Freestyle Relay came from almost a body length behind to beat the French (who had vowed to smash the US team) by 8/100th's of a second. Michael Phelps won his 2nd of a possibly 8 Gold Medals but the story of the day was JASON LEZAK who was able to swim the FASTEST 100 meters in history. Anyone who saw it would have to agree with a few meters left, it didn't seem possible but Jason took a few of strongest strokes in history and stretched his huge frame to out touch the Frenchman. Congrats.

What a beautiful summer in a wonderful place to live. The only thing that might make it better is a sense the Real Estate market is nearing a bottom.

See it with your own eyes. The oak tree that looks like a raindeer with antlers leaning over eating the grass. There is even some missing bark from one antler as if the raindeer has been rubbing it on something.  It's at the Northwest corner of Pioneer and Old Toll in Lake Arrowhead. Congrats to Terri for winning the $10 Starbucks card for listing a trifecta on the blog. I promise to drop it off soon. Richard.

Looking for something fun and free. Take a drive down to Cal State San Bernardino and take a look at the student art show in the beautiful air conditioned museum. Thomas Osekowsky, a art major has two pieces in the art show. There is also a display of acient Egytian artifacts. If you want stop by Rosa Maria's for lunch and make a day of it. I also recommend the county museum in Redlands.If you want to make a big day of it the Los Angeles county Natural History museum is also a great way to spend a hot Sunday afternoon. The museum in Redlands and Los Angeles both have entrance fee's but they are well worth the cost. I highly recommend a stop at Phillip's the original french dip sandwich place on Alameda Street across from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. Let's face it we live in beautiful Southern California and there are so many things to do and see you should always have something fun to do. Enjoy.

I've said it before but July 1st will be here before you know it and I still see 6 out of every 10 drivers talking on their cell phones. Think of it as your  alone time. We can all use a little alone time and why not make the time you are driving in your car the time to think about what's important. The most important thing is our lives and the lives of those around us and really how hard is it to go buy a handsfree unit or even better just relax and enjoy the ride. Turn the music on watch the road and drive safe. Plus who needs a ticket. So remember July 1st put the cell phone down.

We had a walkin in Blue Jay today who found some properties on our BLOG/Website. Hopefully we can turn it into a purchase in the near future. Hurray......
