In probably the most hyped and most watched swimming race in history,
JASON LEZAK, the last swimmer in the Mens 4 X 100 Freestyle Relay came from almost a body length behind to beat the French (who had vowed to smash the US team) by 8/100th's of a second.
Michael Phelps won his 2nd of a possibly 8 Gold Medals but the story of the day was JASON LEZAK who was able to swim the FASTEST 100 meters in history. Anyone who saw it would have to agree with a few meters left, it didn't seem possible but Jason took a few of strongest strokes in history and stretched his huge frame to out touch the Frenchman.
